Hala Nasr

Landscape Architect | Architect | Researcher

I am a curator of space, a narrator of identity, and an advocate for cultural continuity. Design is my medium, but storytelling shapes how I approach space, context, and meaning.

I am drawn to uncovering the layers embedded in everyday practices: the vernacular, the forgotten, the absent, and the unseen. My work seeks to illuminate what lies beneath the surface, examining the impact of design on both human and non-humans, and what it ultimately reveals about our world.

My practice is multidisciplinary, spanning scales, geographies, and a multitude of topics. Currently based in the United Arab Emirates, my career has included projects across the Arabian Peninsula, the U.S., and the Caribbean, engaging adaptive reuse, waterfront resiliency and sea level rise, public realm design, cultural institutions, and new urban developments.

I hold a Master's in Landscape Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the College of Architecture, Art, and Design at the American University of Sharjah.
